Palazzo della Cancelleria has a traditional Mediterranean courtyard.  I 
like the model of Leonardo's flying device.  (The palazzo was the site 
of <a target=_blank 
href="http://www.mostradileonardo.com/index.php?lang=EN">an exhibit on 
da Vinci's machines</a>, but the exhibit was closed when I was there.)
